Community Supportive Rates
At Art of Ascension it is incredibly important that mental health care services be accessible for all.
With this in mind, the community supportive rate structure was created to honor the balance between professional training, experience, as well as the realities of economic inequality, systemic oppression, health care gaps and invisible labor.
The community supportive rate structure is flexible, trust based and meant to be a conversation between what you can responsibly pay for treatment while honoring the time and commitment of others.
Community Supportive Rates
Community supportive rates make mental health care possible for all and honors mutual aid systems that strengthen our shared vision for a future where we can all get what we need without fear or stigma.
Below are rate tiers along with a guide to help inform your decision. You will not be asked to prove or justify your choice. Instead, we ask that you select a rate based on your needs, resources and circumstances that you can responsibly afford.

All rates are for 55 minute sessions.
Sustainer Rate $230-$330 (Full fee)
This rate reflects the full value of time, labor, training and cost required to maintain Art of Ascension and its mission to provide accessible, quality mental health care services to all. This rate is ideal for individuals with current and future financial security, disposable income and variety of resources for support.
Choosing this tier helps to subsidize care to the broader community.
Community Rate $170-$225
This reduced rate is intended for those who can afford to invest in regular therapy but may not have substantial disposable income. Individuals that choose this tier help cover operating costs and ensure therapy can remain accessible to others.
This tier reflects a shared investment in both your care and Art of Ascension’s mission.
Supported Rate $110-$165
This tier is designed to support those navigating financial hardship, economic instability or systemic barriers that make full fee therapy inaccessible. This tier is subsidized by higher tiers and ensures quality mental health care is not limited to those who can afford it.
Choosing this tier allows others the opportunity to support you in the spirit of mutual aid.
Sliding Scale Rate $50-$105
This flexible range is designed for those of great need of affordability and navigating underemployment, caregiving responsibilities, debt, chronic health conditions and/or social marginalization. The individual and therapist will work together to identify a rate within this range that honors financial reality and therapeutic commitment.
This tier is designed to meet you where you are, without shame or proof of need.
A small number of sessions that are fully subsidized and reserved for individuals who are experiencing acute financial hardship and/or systemic oppression that makes payment impossible at this time. These slots are prioritized for marginalized community members, survivors and those navigating chronic crisis, unemployment or displacement.
Pro-Bono Rate $0
(Limited Availability)
This tier is offered as an act of mutual care and commitment to community wellness.
